Loyalty a Word Preached by Many, Proven by Few: When You Leave The Club, But Not The Bitterness

There is a difference between leaving an MC and leaving with dignity.


People come and go. Some decide that the club they once stood beside is no longer where they belong. That is their choice, and we respect it. When someone walks away, we do not wish them failure, harm, or misfortune. We wish them well and continue riding our own road.


What is interesting, however, is when those who leave without loyalty later become the loudest voices preaching about love, loyalty, and respect.


Principles are easy to preach. Living by them is another matter entirely.


Love is standing by your brothers when things aren't convenient.

Loyalty is remaining true when walking away would be easier.

Respect is knowing how to leave without turning your former brothers into enemies.


Loyalty is a gem, rare, valuable, and not something to be casually claimed. It should be earned through actions and protected through character. It should never be preached by those who could not practice it when it mattered most.


Our club has never needed to create negative stories about those who left. We wished them well and kept moving forward.


The negative stories have always seemed to come from the other side.


And perhaps that is where the bitterness comes from.


Because leaving is one thing. Watching the club continue to grow, prosper, and move forward without you is another.


A brotherhood does not stop because one person walks away. Chapters continue. Brothers continue to ride. New members come in. The club grows.


And perhaps that is why the patch is bigger at the back.


Because the brothers you left behind are the ones moving forward, and if you choose to stand behind them, that's exactly where you'll be: at the back, watching them ride ahead.


We hold no hatred. We hold no grudge.


We simply kept riding. We simply kept growing. And you with all your friends became irrelevant.

The Resurgence

None of the first 13 members would have imagined what was to come for they were left with the dilemma on how to rebuild the club. The remaining members were then offered a patch over by a local legendary MC but after a few talks and with some disagreement on the terms, it did not push through.  There had also been talks of establishing a new name for the club. For weeks, hundreds of names and ideas were being tossed around until it just became frustrating. Then a moment of eureka came upon a member named Knuckles.  Not too long ago, serendipity struck. Knuckles met, a few months prior, an old timer biker named Papa J bearing and on his back was a patch with the name Black Riders on its top rocker. Forward to 2016, an ex-Anghel ng Lansangan American prospect named Dennis Huff aka Dan Phanto started a local chapter of a riding club from Ecuador named Blackriders. They were all owners of a specific bike brand and model which was also the case of what was started in the Philippines. After he had recruited 3 local members namely; Ghost, Mac, and Lucky, he was given the approval by the local dominant 1%er club to start a 3-patched Motorcycle Club and as a club under the AOA umbrella.
